Need a hand with Pimola, or hit a bug? Email bstoffer@gmail.com and I'll get back to you.

When reporting a scan problem, it helps to include:

  • What went wrong (wrong item, wrong price, didn't add up, etc.)
  • The restaurant or type of receipt, if you can
  • Your device and iOS version

A few quick notes:

  • Pimola works entirely on your device — there's no account to recover and no login.
  • If a receipt scans poorly, retake the photo in good light, flat and uncropped, or pick a clearer image from your library.
  • Pimola splits a single receipt at a time; it doesn't move money or send payments — you settle up however you already do.

Legal

Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 7, 2026

Pimola is designed to be private by default. Here's the short version, which is also the whole version:

Pimola does not collect your data.

Pimola has no accounts, no sign-in, and no servers of its own. It does not transmit your information anywhere.

Your receipts stay on your device.

When you scan or select a receipt, Pimola uses your device's camera and photo library only to read the receipt locally, on your phone. The receipt image and the items, prices, and totals Pimola reads from it are processed entirely on your device and are never uploaded, stored remotely, or shared.

No tracking, no analytics, no ads.

Pimola contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking software. It does not build a profile of you and does not share information with anyone, because it doesn't collect any to begin with.

Permissions.

Pimola may ask for camera and/or photo library access so you can capture or choose a receipt. These are used solely to read the receipt on your device. You can manage these permissions anytime in your device's Settings.

Children's privacy.

Because Pimola collects no personal data from anyone, it collects none from children.

Changes.

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
